Job Openings:
Substitute Teacher – 2 temporary, regular/full-time openings. Positions will be responsible for filling-in for teachers and providing a comprehensive developmentally appropriate Early Childhood program that promotes physical, social, emotional and cognitive development in young children. Must have Associate Degree in Early Childhood or approved with at least 18 hours of early childhood credits. Positions are temporary and will end September 30, 2010.
Lead Teacher – Partial-year, full-time position. Applicants must be current Teachers at the center. Minimum requirements are an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood or related with 18 hours in Early Childhood and proven leadership skills. In addition, selected candidate must complete the “Lead Teacher Certification Requirements”. Internal posting only.
Teacher Aide – (2) Partial-year, full-time positions are open at the Cairo Head Start Center in Cairo, IL. Minimum requirements are at least 19 years of age and have 6 hours in Early Childhood. Duties include assisting the teacher in providing a comprehensive developmentally appropriate early childhood program that promotes physical, social, emotional and cognitive development in young children. DCFS background/criminal check required.
Anticipated Openings – to begin August 16, 2010 in Alexander, Hardin, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski and Union counties. Positions may include: Teacher, Teacher Aide, Office Associate, Bus Driver, Sub Bus Driver, Cook and Program Assistant. DCFS background/criminal check required.
Sub Bus Driver - Locations: Potentially needed at our Union County and Johnson County Early Learning Centers
Qualifications: CDL License and must be at least 21 years of age. Duties include being responsible for the safety of children ages 3-5 while transporting them to and from school.
