Job Openings:

Bus Driver - Partial-year/full-time opening at the Vienna Early Learning Center in Vienna, IL. Must be 21 years of age with a CDL license. Duties include being responsible for the safety of children ages 3-5 while being transported from school.  DCFS Background/Criminal check required.

Program Assistant - Partial-year, full-time opening at the Cairo Head Start Center. Duties include riding the bus routes; providing breaks for the teaching staff; and assisting when and where needed. Must be 18 years of age or older and have a High School Diploma or GED. DCFS Background/Criminal check required.

Anticipated Parent Coordinator - Partial-year, Part-time Parent Coordinator based at the Hardin County Head Start Center. Responsibilities include recruitment, enrollment, and assessment, planning and service coordination with families in the area. Minimum qualifications include: Associate's Degree in Social Services, Early Childhood, or related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred. DCFS Criminal Background Check also required. 

Teacher - Partial-year, full-time Early Head Start Teacher opening at the Mounds Head Start Center. Minimum requirements are must have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood. Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood preferred. Job duties include providing a comprehensive developmentally appropriate Early Childhood program that promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development in young children. DCFS Background/Criminal check required.

Lead Teacher - Internal applications will be accepted for the position of Lead Teacher at the Cairo Head Start Center. Applicants must be current Teachers at the center. Minimum requirements are an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or related with 18 hours in Early Childhood and proven leadership skills. In addition, selected candidate must complete the "Lead Teacher Certification Requirements".

Bus Driver - Partial-year/part-time opening at the Cairo Head Start Center in Cairo, IL. Must be 21 years of age with a CDL license. Duties include being responsible for the safety of children ages 3-5 while being transported from school.  DCFS Background/Criminal check required.

Bus Monitor - Partial-year/full-time opening at the Pope County Head Start Center in Golconda, IL. Must be 19 years of age and being responsible for the safety of children ages 3-5 while being transported to and from school. DCFS Background/Criminal check required.

FCM/WIC Case Manager - Regular, full-time Registered Nurse is needed to perform duties at the Alexander/Pulaski County Clinics in Cairo and Ullin, IL. Primary duties include core case management activities of assessment, planning, referral, advocacy and follow-up. Interact with other health department programs in order to coordinate care for prenatals, infants and children; nutritional assessment and counseling of pregnant women, infants and children within WIC guidelines; group education for workshops and assignment of food packages for clients. Perform Public Health nurse duties as required.

Teacher - 1 partial-year, full-time opening at the Joppa Head Start Center. To be qualified, you must have a Bachelors Degree and be 04 Certified. A DCFS background/criminal check is required upon employment.

Sub Bus Driver
Locations: Potentially needed at all Head Start Centers
Qualifications: CDL License and must be at least 21 years of age. Duties include being responsible for the safety of children ages 3-5 while transporting them to and from school.
