The Illinois CATCH on to Health! Consortium (ICHC) promotes health and physical activity in schools to prevent and reduce childhood obesity in Pre-K through 8th grade.  All schools that implement CATCH will complete CDC’s School Health Index, a health-focused assessment of the school.

The Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) program has demonstrated positive outcomes regarding the improvement of students’ academic performance as well as behavioral and physiological factors.
