Illinois Tobacco Quit-lineSmokers who want to quit may call the Illinois Quit Line and speak with a therapist for information and help to quit.
To get started you may call the Illinois QUITLINE at 1-866-QUIT YES or 1-866-784-8937. Hours for the QUITLINE are 7am - 11pm, daily. Smoke Free Illinois Act (SFIA)The Smoke Free Illinois Act signed into law began on January 1, 2008. This act repeals the 1990 Clean Indoor Air Act and requires all public places, including places of employment, to be completely smoke free.
Governor Quinn signed stronger enforcement and an appeal process in February of 2009.
